9 months
My sweet baby girl is 9 months old today. She is spunky, loud, smiley, silly, daring, sure of what she wants, and shy with strangers. She now says "bye-bye" when she waves, will shake her head "no", points at what she wants, and knows how to "high-five". She L.O.V.E.S to walk while holding anyone's hands. She can pull herself up and has finally started to crawl (more like an army crawl) but would much rather "walk". She still sleeps eleven to twelve hours at night, but has dropped to two naps a day. It is really easy to get her to laugh or smile, and she still is not a fan of strangers. We have also moved to the stage where she is eating just about any kind of table food. She is such a fun little, energetic girl!

The beat of her own drum
Juliet is a spunky little girl that does her own thing, so why would she not sleep with her feet hanging outside of the crib?

VA Father's Day Visit
We headed up to Danville for a quick early Father's Day surprise visit. My mom surprised my grandfather by showing up for church and playing the piano during the service (one of his requests!). Then we spent the rest of the afternoon doing what we do best: hanging-out.
My grandfather was a trooper and let Juliet walk until her little heart was content. |
And I let Juliet eat ice cream (AGAIN!...bad mom, I know), but it was from her Great-Grandad, so it doesn't really count, right? |

Family Visit
My grandmother and Aunt Sheri came to visit today. We all went out for lunch with my cousin Chris who lives here in Asheville. After lunch we visited the Farmer's Market where Juliet LOVED the stuffed animals and tried ice cream for the first time. I gave her three bites and then she pitched a tiny little fit when I took the cone away.... Ice cream addictions run in the family :)

Sleepy-Head
This is Juliet AFTER I woke her up from her nap. I know it sounds awful to wake a sleeping baby, but if I want her to go to bed at a decent hour I can't let her sleep past 5:45pm. I woke her up, she looked at me, and then assumed the above position. ...I TOTALLY understand!
