Quarter Centary

I'm 1/4 of the way to 100!  Micah made this year's birthday wonderful.  He is very thoughtful and creative.  I don't have very many friends here yet, but he still managed to through a fun party...and the theme was "color".  I even had a tye-dye cake that he made!

We did a little celebrating on my actual birthday (Thursday) with presents and dinner out at Grist Mill, a restaurant on the river, and then we had the party Friday night!

Travel Buddy

She is not the best car traveler, but man, this girl is great on planes and metros.  She has even mastered the plane seat-belt and the fact that she can only have the tray-table down after we take off.  Ha.

Asheville Visit

Juliet and I are taking advantage of the fact that she flies free until she turns two and headed to Asheville for a week visit.  Juliet got lots of Abue and Granddaddy time, visited with great-grandparents, and saw her papa, while I spent time with friends, ate, read, and did a little early birthday celebrating!  My mom even had our wedding reception food made again for me so that I could enjoy it at my leisure :) It was a great trip but we were glad to get home by the end because we missed Micah.

Sea World

Juliet's favorite part of the whole Sea World adventure (thank you military for free tickets!) was seeing the Elmo show, riding the Merry-go-round, and getting to put her fingers in the water....Glad our tickets were free ;)   We really did have a fun day!

This dolphin came up out of nowhere right when Micah was taking a picture.  Scared us to death, just about ate Juliet (jk!), and soaked us :)

Justin Moore Concert and Two-Steppin'...Happy 26th, Micah!

On Micah's actual birthday we opened presents, ate sweet potato pancakes, went two-steppin', followed by a Justin Moore concert with some friends!

 

4th of July

Cookie decorating (and eating!), swimming, Micah's 26th birthday party, grilled chicken, fireworks.  Thankful for AMERICA and for those who gave us the right to live in the land of the free and the home of the brave!
