Yes, my grandmother is 86.  Yes, she still looks that good.  And, yes, she wore a tiara at her birthday party!

11 Months

Juliet is 11 months old today!  ...which means her next "progress post" will be in Y.E.A.R.S.!  Crazy, crazy.

This month Juliet has mastered the art of imitation.  For example, one day while she was eating she keep whining and pushing everything I offered to her away.  I finally put up my hands in confusion and said "What do you want?". She immediately put up her hands too....and continues to do so anytime you start a sentence with "What...".   However, despite my consistent efforts she will NOT do the sign for "please"...go figure.  She is still not walking on her own but has no problem getting into everything.  Ellie's water bowl is her favorite :)  She knows what she wants, when she wants it, and has no problem expressing either one.  This will be a good trait eventually, right?  She is doing much better in the nursery and seems to quickly warm up to people after the initial "trauma" of a new face is over.   For the most part [THANKFULLY!!] she goes to bed at 7pm and sleeps till 7/7:20 am and takes two naps everyday lasting about an hour each.  She is 20 lbs of personality, spunk, and joy!

She likes to brush her own hair, after she sees someone else do it.  She also likes to take out her bows and "put them back in"...she has yet to have success on the latter.

 "Whaattt do you want????"

Asheville Wine and Food Tour

For Mother's Day I bought my mom vouchers to go on the downtown Asheville Wine and Food Tour.  It was so fun and yummy!  We ate/drank at six different places.  I can't even remember all of the exact things we ate because they were so unique, so just look at the pictures :)  The restaurants included: The Battery Park Champagne Lounge and Book Exchange, Cucina, Table, The French Broad Chocolate Lounge, For the Love of Chips, and Zambras Tapas Bar.

New Room (Finally!!)

Juliet originally started in my room until she decided to not be a good night-time sleeper.  So, one night I just up and moved her into Zach's old room/the current guest room/furniture-barn.  We never painted it or organized it to be Juliet's room.  So now that I have graduated and have some more "free"-time, I took a few days to clean-out, organize, paint, and re-vamp Juliet's room.  It will still serve as our guest room (if you want to come visit!!!) but it is definitely more girly!  The pictures were taken before the final touches, but you get the idea...

This is Juliet saying "Please may I go outside" in a kind, patient voice. ha!

Mommy's little [un] helper :)

Some GREAT-grandparents

Juliet has a rocking-"butterfly/caterpillar" here at home so now whenever she sits in a chair that is her size she tries to rock.  So, my grandma got out a little wooden rocking-chair and Juliet loved it.

Chillaxing

Whenever I push Juliet in a swing (or in a hammock!) I say "weeeeeee" and now she does too as she is being pushed.  haha

It's a good one to have :)
