In the moment

I am not really artistic and I am far from being a photographer, so when someone takes real, candid pictures of Juliet (and me!) it's a treat.  Thank you Eric Zetterholm Photography for snapping these pictures while we were at a birthday party yesterday.

60th Anniversary

Today is my grandparents 60th anniversary!!!!  What a blessing and example they are to SO many.
(Picture from Summer 2011)

7 months

Juliet Isabel is 7 months old today.  She is weighing in at 18 lbs and 5 oz (75 percentile), and is 27 1/2 inches tall (90 percentile).  Her personality has EXPLODED this month.  She is into everything, laughs and squeals all the time, is a waving fool, and continually does the bouncing motion whether she is in her bouncy-seat or not.  She is so much fun and keeps us entertained!

She is a great eater, still nurses about four times a day, sleeps from 8pm to 7am, and takes three naps a day totaling from 3 to 4 hours.   She LOVES to be held, likes to be outside, laughs when she is in the swing, is getting much better with strangers, cries in the nursery at church after like 20 minutes (because it is nap-time!), is ticklish, has two bottom teeth and two top teeth just breaking through, now rolls onto her stomach from her back, and can't yet crawl forward or backward but will crawl in a circle on her stomach.
This is how I often find her after a nap :)
She truly is a sweet, happy, fun, little girl!

PONY-TAIL!!!!!!!

The day has FINALLY come where I am able to put Juliet's hair in a pony-tail...!!!!
....and she looks like a sumo-wrestler.  Go figure.

A million pictures of Juliet...

...because I couldn't decide which one I liked best! I think it shows her personality well.

Sleeping Beauty

It's a rare moment that I get to see Juliet asleep.  She is a light sleeper and I'm so afraid to enter her room while she is asleep.  But alas, here is a picture of a little sleeping beauty!

Easter Festivities

We began our Easter celebrating by "decorating" cookies at our very sweet friend Leah's house, with her kiddos Naomi and Ben, and the Goforths as well.  Juliet and I were no help whatsoever in the decorating process, but we I did help with the eating of the yummy cookies.  And everyone took a turn holding Juliet :)  (almost all of the kids are in the picture...)

We also did some traveling the day before Easter to visit with family from both sides.
Juliet got to spend some time with her Great-grandmother Helen...

And also with her Great-grandma Isla and her Great-grandpa Robert...

Juliet loves to look at and grab flowers (ok, really anything she sees, but flowers make for the best pictures)...

And finally our [best] attempt at an Easter picture.  Sad, I know.

Happy Birthday, Caroline!

Her Birthday was March 31st.  Yes, I am late on the Birthday Shout-Out...but I still felt like her day is post-worthy (late or not).

Caroline has been my best friend through several different schools, dorm rooms, various countries, summer jobs, a wedding, a baby, long flights, long car rides, airport layovers, sleepless nights in bug-nets, vacations, school days, runs, bike rides, volleyball, football games, Spanish exchange students, being lost, movies, sleepovers, church, retreats, crazy adventures, and normal outings.  I am so thankful for her and her friendship.

For her birthday she wanted to go for a mountain bike ride!...another reason why I love her!

Happy 24th Birthday, Caroline!!!! You have totally entered into your MID-twenties :)

We be running!

Juliet went through a phase where she enjoyed her ride in the BOB for, oh, about fifteen minutes and then she would fuss.  Thankfully, she has seemed to move past that phase and now happily plays (and sometimes falls asleep) on our runs.
