Final Trip to D.C.

...at least for now.  Juliet and I went up to D.C. last weekend to visit with Micah one last time before he finishes working there and we move.  We had a great time!  We got to visit base and Walter Reed Hospital (where Micah works) twice, once to swim.  Micah and I went out one night.  We spent one morning at the Zoo and one afternoon downtown D.C.  Saturday evening we grilled out with some friends.  I would like to mention that grilling with Micah and Nate (his roommate) is extraordinary.  We did not eat hamburgers and hotdogs, but rather grilled chicken and fall off the bone ribs in homemade BBQ sauce that had been marinated for at least a day in advance.  YUM.  They pride themselves on being amazing "grillers", so they do it well.  On Sunday we made the not so short drive down to Raleigh, NC to attend Jenique's, one of my dear friends from college, wedding.  It was wonderful to share in her special day and allow several college friends to meet Micah and Juliet. We had a jammed packed weekend with lots of fun and lots of memories made.  And I must add that Juliet is an incredible plane and metro traveler.  She is not a huge fan of the car, unless she is sleeping, but she does great when she can move around even if she is in your lap.  ...my little world traveler ;)
